2024 Ford Bronco Updates

At the beginning of this year (2023), Ford announced it would reduce production for certain Bronco SUV configurations. This included discontinuing the highly sought-after Everglades package that had been previously available. Additionally, Ford temporarily halted the production of Broncos equipped with manual transmissions and discontinued the availability of the base trim level. Now, here’s some positive news: The Everglades option has made a comeback, along with several other enhancements for the Bronco. These include the introduction of a new Code Orange package, the ability to opt for paint-matched fenders, and more. Let’s take a closer look at all the fresh additions for the 2024 Ford Bronco and Bronco Raptor off-road SUVs this year.
2024 Ford Bronco Code Orange
Starting things off is the recently introduced Code Orange package, now available for the Ford Bronco Raptor performance off-road SUV. The color orange is often associated with the Bronco’s distinctive identity, which is why it has evolved into a unique and special appearance kit of its own. The Code Orange package for the Ford Bronco Raptor brings additional orange accents to both the exterior and interior. Notable enhancements include fresh graphic decals on the rear fenders, the addition of orange accents on the tow hooks, and the incorporation of Code Orange Beadlock rings on the 17-inch Dark Carbonized Gray wheels. For those who opt for the Code Orange package in the new Bronco Raptor, the interior offers a choice of orange-colored seatbelts. These can be paired with either all-black upholstery or a combination of blue and black, providing a pleasing and versatile selection. The natural pairing of orange and blue complements the interior design nicely.
Ford revealed that the Bronco Raptor will offer the choice of paint-matched fenders, allowing for greater personalization with the body color of your preference. Examining the images, it seems that the rear fenders may have received added protection or cladding, or it could be a distinct patch intentionally left unpainted for a unique appearance.
2024 Ford Bronco Everglades
Off-roading enthusiasts will be delighted to know that the sought-after Everglades package for the Bronco is back in the lineup. This package includes the Sasquatch package, complete with features like 35-inch tires, locking front and rear differentials, and Bilstein shocks. Additionally, it boasts extra equipment such as a custom snorkel, the option for a front bumper-mounted winch, and various tweaks to enhance water fording capabilities, allowing for a maximum depth of up to 36.4 inches.
Accessories & More
Ford Performance collaborated with Method Race Wheels to introduce an alternative 17-inch wheel choice for the Bronco and Bronco Sport. These wheels measure 8.5 inches in width and have been officially included in the Ford Performance Parts Catalog. You can purchase them individually through the Ford Accessories web store, priced at $1,820, and they are available in four distinct colors: Oxford White, Matte Titanium Gray, Method Bronze, or Matte Black.
Ford has mentioned two new paint color updates for the Bronco range, although visual representations are not available at this time. Notably, the Bronco Raptor can now be had in the standard Bronco and Bronco Sport’s existing Velocity Blue shade. Furthermore, as a tribute to its WWII heritage, Ford has introduced a new color named “Shelter Green,” aiming to closely resemble the shade used by the U.S. Army during that era.
Another minor adjustment includes making the 12-inch touchscreen with Sync 4 a standard feature throughout the Bronco lineup. Additionally, the current Badlands trim will now come with its robust modular front bumper as standard equipment. Ford has also confirmed the return of the manual transmission for the 2024 model year, although the exact timing of this reintroduction has not been disclosed yet.
