Ford Introduces All-new Bronco Trail App For Off-road Enthusiasts

Off-road enthusiasts know very well that real adventures take place on unpaved streets and now Ford is making it easier than ever to go off-roading in its Bronco model. Ford announced the all-new Bronco Trail App, designed for enthusiasts to plan and share off-road journeys. Available both on Apple iOS and Google Android devices, the Bronco Trail App makes its debut at the Bronco Safari 2023 in Utah. Hundreds of Bronco enthusiasts plan to gather to show off their vehicles as they tackle some of the roughest and most challenging terrain suggested by the app.
“The Bronco Trail App is the perfect companion for those looking to get the most out of their Bronco, especially when they go off the beaten path. We know our customers value the time they take to go out there and get away from it all, and this app offers them an easy way to share the exciting experience they have and connect with other off-roaders,” said Matt Winter, Bronco Brand Manager.
The app is available only to Bronco SUV owners and features over 1,200 professionally-curated off-road trail maps across North America. Users can record drives with waypoints, photos and even video–allowing them to share their off-road adventures on social media. Ford also announced it would continuously update the app, adding more trails and additional features. One users download the Bronco Trail App and link it with their FordPass account, they’ll gain access to the following features:
Trail Maps: Ford offers more than 18,000 miles of existing trails throughout the U.S., Mexico and Canada. Users can filter by length, difficulty, location and more, while each trail can be saved for future adventures.
Points of Interest: Can’t-miss photo ops, scenic points of interest, waypoints, tough challenges on the trail and much more can all be found under points of interest. Users can even save a trip and add their own waypoints, photos, and even notes about the experience.
Satellite Imagery & 2D Topographic Maps: Going off-road? No problem, users can download maps and view them even while offline. Ford offers different map styles to help prepare for the journey ahead.
Pressure Gauge: Different trails, meaning dependent on terrain, require lower or higher tire pressure. The Bronco Trail App comes with a real-time tire pressure gauge to help adjust tire pressure to the desired level while on the trail. The feature is available even when there isn’t a cellular connection.
Adventure Tracking: Users can bookmark and even record their favorite trails to come back to them or share with other Bronco owners.
Video Capturing: Users can capture the off-road experience by securing their smartphone within the vehicle. Once a recording is finished, it can be viewed via the app, although it will automatically also save to the connected phone and is available to share via text, social media and more. The video captures include data like RPM, distance traveled, speed, elevation, and more.
