Ford Introduces new Everglades Edition for its Bronco Model

Ford’s plate is quite full these days, especially when it comes to its Bronco model. The iconic vehicle didn’t just only recently make a comeback, two additional new special editions will arrive this summer (2022). The automaker recently revealed its high-performance Bronco Raptor, and now there’s an Everglades edition that adds several bits of off-road hardware along with the Sasquatch package. Both SUVs come as four-door, hardtop models and are more hardcore options for drivers willing to go off the beaten path.
The Sasquatch package included on the Bronco Everglades includes 35-inch tires, front and rear locking differentials, a lifted suspension straight from the factory, and a shorter final drive ratio. The Everglades special edition adds mud-terrain tires that ride on 17-inch wheels, as well as a factory snorkel mounted to the A-pillar. Ford also raised the front and rear axles, transmission cooling vents, and transfer case to make 36.4 inches of water fording capability possible. This gives the Bronco Everglades 2.9 inches more than the Sasquatch package.
Ford also gave the Bronco Everglades an integrated Warn Zeon 10-S Winch that fits on its optional heavy-duty modular front bumper and safari bar. The Blue Oval automaker tested the winch at its chassis test facility and claimed it can pull up to 10,000 pounds thanks to its 100-foot line. The Everglades Bronco also comes standard with steel skid plates and rock rails tasked with protecting the underbody of the vehicle. On the exterior, the Bronco Everglades has an exclusive Desert Sand color, although Ford offers other color choices: Eruption Green, Area 51, Shadow Black, and Cactus Gray.
The Bronco Everglades also features a carbonized gray grille along with gloss-black Bronco lettering and an Everglades graphics that’s stamped on the front fender. Buyers can also enjoy standard vinyl seats, washout floor mats, a 12.0-inch touchscreen display, and green accent stitching. Beneath its hood, the Bronco Everglades is powered by a 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque– all paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. There aren’t any current plans to add any other powertrain options on the Bronco Everglades.
The 2022 Bronco Everglades arrives just in time for summer (2022) and starts at $54,495 (plus destination fee).
