Sydney Sweeney & Ford Expand Limited Edition Workwear

Ford and Sydney Sweeney, in partnership with Dickies, unveiled a brand-new workwear line in collaboration. This release comes on the heels of the successful debut of the Ford x Sydney Sweeney collection earlier this year (2023). The initial workwear line generated significant demand, with the most sought-after items selling out in less than 36 hours, prompting a restock. The inspiration behind this collection stems from Sydney Sweeney’s personal experiences, having grown up in a family of mechanics and her close connection to her 1965 Mustang, lovingly named “Britney” after its original color, “Brittany Blue.”
Crafted by Dickies, the new workwear line seamlessly merges style and functionality. The offerings include denim coveralls, a racing jacket, a corduroy hat, a t-shirt, and a keychain, all designed to reflect the essence of Sweeney’s background and the automotive world.
“For nearly 60 years, Mustang has represented freedom and self-expression. Collaborating with Sydney and her love for her 1965 Mustang celebrates what that can look like. For Sydney, it meant embracing a new hobby to restore the vehicle of her dreams, and designing a clothing line that makes women feel comfortable and empowered to do the same,” says Erica Martin, Ford marketing communications manager.
Ford has teamed up with passionate female auto-restoration enthusiasts Adri Law, Gelica Peralta, Sandy Rancatore, Isabelle Rosa, and Lauren Fox to present its collection. These enthusiasts will be featured in an online lookbook, showcasing and modeling the apparel, all of which can be purchased at merchandise.ford.com. In addition to highlighting the fashion collection, the lookbook also offers step-by-step instructions for essential vehicle maintenance tasks. This includes guidance on changing a car battery and checking tire pressure, brake fluid, and oil.
“I love working in the garage and was so excited to partner with Ford on a clothing line that’s comfortable in and out of the shop,” said Sweeney. “I was so thrilled that Ford wanted to use auto enthusiasts to model the clothing and create content that teaches people how to do basic maintenance tasks on their vehicles. Being able to take my car into my own hands has been so empowering for me – and I hope this can inspire others who may have never considered working on their vehicle themselves to give it a try.”
Alongside her exclusive workwear collaboration, Ford x Sydney Sweeney, Sweeney kicked off an Auto 101 series in March (2023). The series is designed to guide viewers on essential vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking tire pressure, jump-starting a dead battery, and other key aspects. Its primary goal is to empower women, encouraging them to feel more confident and at ease when working on their vehicles.
