The 2023 Ford Expedition Stealth Edition Performance Package Reigns Supreme

The new-and-improved 2022 Ford Expedition brought prospective buyers plenty of upgrades and new additions to the SUV’s lineup. Some of the most notable variants were two trim additions–the Timberline and Stealth Edition Performance Package–which carried over to the 2023 model year. The Stealth Edition Performance Package is more than just a special edition trim, giving the Expedition a get-up-and-go attitude that extends beyond any other trim in the lineup. Industry insiders immediately put the Expedition Stealth Performance through the wringer and were happily impressed with how the SUV conducted itself throughout various challenges.
In just 4.9 seconds, this SUV can go from 0-60 mph thanks to the steady 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that lies beneath the hood. The 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque generated by the engine certainly go a long way when it comes to the Expedition Steal Performance. This very same engine also powers the existing Lincoln Navigator, which without the Stealth Performance Package addition can only go from 0-60 mph in 5.3 seconds. In fact, the 2023 Ford Expedition Stealth Performance is even faster than the F-150 Raptor pickup, which offers buyers a 0-60 mph time of 5.2 seconds.
Not only does the Ford Expedition Stealth Performance Edition Package give the model performance chops, it also adds other unique touches such as black-painted styling elements on the side mirrors, front ends, rear bumper, running boards, as well as blacked out exterior badging. On the inside buyers can experience a special center console, red seat stitching, package-specific floor mats and much more. All of these features and additional perks are otherwise unavailable on any Expedition vehicle without the trim-specific package.
2023 Ford Expedition
All EcoBoost engines beneath the hood of the Ford Expedition are mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. All Expedition trims come standard with two-wheel drive, while the Timberline trim focuses on performance and comes standard with all-wheel drive. Buyers looking for all-wheel drive capabilities don’t have to splurge on the Timberline trim as all trims can be optioned with all-wheel drive as an upgrade. Ford offers buyers two body styles when it comes to the Expedition, the standard variant and the Expedition Max. Although the SUV is already large as is, the Max configuration can easily accommodate eight passengers. Ford has yet to release pricing for the 2023 Expedition.
The 2023 Ford Expedition comes in six trim levels–XL, XLT, Timberline, Limited, King Ranch and Platinum. Ford’s Expedition Max configuration is available on all trims but the entry-level XL and offers much more cargo space than the standard trim as well. Experts deem the Expedition Limited as the best value in the model’s lineup as it includes its fair share of luxury features, such as power-folding running boards, leather upholstery, an upgraded sound system, power tailgate, heated rear seats, and front parking sensors.
