The Shelby Mustang Mach-E GT Concept

The Ford Mustang Mach-E has impressed the EV world with its radical new design from the iconic two-door Mustang. Except for the electric vehicle segment, it is now a four-door family SUV competing directly with Tesla’s EV lineup. However, Ford didn’t stop at the GT trim. It has revealed to the world a Shelby Mustang Mach-E GT Concept that has Ford fans excited to drive it. This could be Ford’s way of saying that it plans on releasing an all-electric muscle car soon? It could be, and although it is just a concept, the Shelby Concept is one mean-looking Mustang.
Adding Some Upgrades from Shelby
The Shelby Concept made a special appearance at this year’s 2021 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, and it’s an immediate attention grabber. Ford says the body kit of the Shelby Concept is made out of graphene-infused carbon fiber, which helps improve the aerodynamics and the appearance of the vehicle. The front grille structure serves an aero purpose, and the extended wheel arches are a nice touch. Blue racing stripes run along with the vehicle’s hood, rear, and sides, giving it a sporty appearance. Other upgrades include Shelby-tuned MagneRide dampers, composite carbon springs, forged Monoblock wheels wrapped in Michelin EV tires, and a pair of Recaro racing seats inside.
Other Mach-E Special Editions
Besides the Shelby Mach-E GT Concept, Ford has two other concept vehicles that it designed. The second concept is a Tjin Edition Mustang Mach-E California Route One that features a bike rack on the rear to mount an electric bike, and it powers it via roof-mounted solar panels. The concept vehicle also features an air-lift Hoppo’s Suspension, larger brakes, and 22-inch Vossen Wheels. The third Mustang Mach-E Concept is an Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer Mustang Mach-E GT AWD that produces 480hp and has a top speed of 200mph. This model is scheduled to auction at the 2022 Bonneville Speed Week event for a good cause.
